What is your training and performance experience?

Elizabeth is a certified voice teacher with the Northwest Institute of Voice and a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS). Please see my music resume for a detailed list. I started training at Lewis & Clark College and the Wesley Balk Musical Theater Institute. I’ve continued to work privately with teachers since my graduation in 1990. I continue to study regularly with Mr. Blaylock and attend a voice teacher seminar each summer.

My performance experience began with Portland Opera, moved to Gilbert and Sullivan Operettas, then to more “alternative” musical theatre, and has now landed on musical comedy. I enjoy singing with my comedy buddy, Mark Steering, in our duo the Humble Divas. We perform queer comedy with a political twist (please see my website for further information). I also perform with a women’s jazz/swing trio, the Swizzle Chicks.
