Your voice is a powerful instrument of expression that can directly tap into the creative source within. As you strengthen your voice and give sound to your emotions, old patterns will shift, allowing your true voice to emerge, your true heartsong!

How can singing help me to heal?

Many of us shut down our voices as children. Perhaps a teacher or other adult told us we should just “mouth the words”, or that we were being too loud. Sometimes, these messages stay hidden for years, holding us back from going for our greatest vision of ourselves and our lives. When our voices start to open, our emotions will as well, in sometimes unpredictable ways.

I work with each student to help them discover their inner joy and personal power through the power of their voice. I’ll choose some music to start with, but encourage you to bring music that will challenge you emotionally (more than technically). As emotions arise, we may take some time to process them, but we won’t dwell on them. Instead, we will continue to focus on the energy of singing to move the energy of our emotions. The result can be a clearer, lighter, more joyful person that the one who walked in!
